CLOTH DIAPER REVIEW: Lil Helper Lite Diaper

It’s HHHUUUUMMMPPP DAY! and…I have a cloth diaper review for ya!

Those of you who haven’t had the pleasure of knowing who company is…you are missin’ out!

Lil Helper cloth diapers were founded in 2009 by a of couple hunky dads, who live in Canada (eh?) and have Aerospace Engineering Degrees WARNING: MOMMY PORN!

You will all want to meet Mohammed and Nader: the couple of nerds that started this company in late 2011. Yea! This company is still in it’s BABYHOOD ( a little pun) and I’m going to have something to do with getting their name known!

Just scrolling their Website you will notice they have a PERSONALITY and a contagious sense of humor. I really enjoyed communicating with Mohammed when I approached him to get this opportunity. They strive for beyond excellent customer service…Not sure if you live in the same world I do (or Canada? ) but just good or even fair customer service is hard to find these days. For. Realz. You can call 24/7 at 1-877-287-7930 or follow them on Facebook and join there Lilhelper group!

WITH EVERY ORDER you get a personal thank you card (I suck at remembering to write thank you cards), an assortment of tea and these yummy foreign hard candies….oh yeah plus your diapers.

Oh Yeah, and….I got a personal phone call from Tracey after I emailed her a question about a diaper! A real. person. phone call. It happened and we chatted for a while about just being mommies. It was fabulous.

Let’s not forget to tear at those sensitive parent heart strings and let you know that they also GIVE BACK to babies in need! With their Baby Do Good program, for every 3 diapers they sell they give 1 away to a baby in need. Too sweet, don’t you just love companies that do good in the world!?

What more could you want from a place your money goes too? Right…a product that WORKS in return.

Product: Cloth Diaper, washable/reusable
Brand: Lil Helper
Type: Lite Diaper, 3 pcs.
Material: One-size Envelope Style Waterproof Cover (birth to potty training), 1 Unbleached Cotton Insert with 3 layers of micro-fiber and 1 Charcoal Bamboo liner with 3 layers of micro-fiber.
Use: for absorbing pee, catching poop and giving you more laundry to do (WEEEEE…)
Cost: for a pack of 3 complete diapers= $49.00 (not bad, not bad at all)

Now, I have used this diaper all ways it can be before writing this review. Daytime, nighttime, naps, wiping something the spilled off the floor….yup, it was the first thing I saw to grab.

While it’s not my favorite diaper in my stash, it still has many Pros.
These diapers are light weight and very soft inside and out for comfort. They are not super bulking on my baby’s bum like some. Having a cover with liner/insert combo makes changes easy and take up less room in your diaper bag and wet bag. You can reuse covers with new liners if only wet when changing, allowing you to again pack less diapers overall. They have a lot more snap size options than some diapers I have, giving a much more snug comfortable fit (my dude is very long and narrow, so he gets a great fit with these). The small pockets that the inserts fit into on either side help hold them in place well and allow you to stuff whatever absorbable material you want in there….pocket folds, a wash cloth, an old (clean, please) T-shirt. Lastly, the Charcoal Bamboo insert is perfect for naps and nighttime due to it’s “long term” wear benefits of preventing diaper rash.

I personally haven’t noticed diaper rash help, but my man hardly ever gets it anyway…so it’s hard for me to say. There are many mom’s raving about the Charcoal Bamboo resolving their diaper rash problems here.

Something I really love, is that these diapers dry in the dryer very quickly!! Most others I have take 2-3 cycles…using cost and energy. Also….the best part is they don’t stain, because they are grey and not white and I can put them right in the dryer instead of out in the sun first, saving me precious time!

Unfortunately, my Con is that I have a very heavy wetting BOY! He’s down-right messy. Because he’s a boy. And that’s what boys do. This diaper has been a great addition to my day-time rotation, but I am not able to use it for naps or night time. Then, again when I find a nighttime cloth diaper solution, I will be sure to let you know!

Thank you Lil Helper team for letting me review your company and products.

Lord, I pray you bless many more babies in need with diapers and if you could send more review opportunities my way that would be pretty awesome too! Amen!
